Roberto Di Costanzo's 'Carnet de Voyage' Exhibition in Rome

exhibition · 2026-04-27

Roberto Di Costanzo, born in Formia in 1985 and based in Rome, presents 'Carnet de Voyage' at his newly inaugurated atelier in Rome. After years working in set and costume design at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia under Piero Tosi, Di Costanzo returns to his passion for architecture through a project that symbolically unites three cities where he has lived and worked: Paris, Milan, and Rome. The exhibition features twenty works from prestigious Italian and foreign galleries, including La Sabliere, Piazza di Pietra, SpazioCima, and Maiocchi 15, as well as private collections. Curated by Stefania Vaghi, the show centers on Via Giulia as the fulcrum of a totalizing artistic experience. The drawings depict iconic landmarks such as Trinità dei Monti, Notre-Dame, the Eiffel Tower, Versailles, St. Peter's dome, and Les Invalides, blending Roman and Parisian architecture in a surreal graphic fusion. The atelier also hosts live drawing sessions, meetings, and creative workshops, transforming the space into a creative forge where art is both produced and experienced. The exhibition continues Di Costanzo's earlier series for Editions Nomades, which visually narrated Rome and Paris.
