Roberto Casamonti Collection Opens in Historic Florence Palace
Mark your calendar for March 25, 2018, because that's when the Roberto Casamonti Collection will open at the beautiful Palazzo Bartolini Salimbeni in Florence, right near Palazzo Strozzi and the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum. The inaugural exhibition, called "From the Early 20th Century to the 1960s," features works by famous artists like Fattori, Boldini, and Picasso, among others. This impressive collection is a generous gift from gallerist Roberto Casamonti and is managed by a cultural association headed by art historian Sonia Zampini. It will run until spring 2019, after which a follow-up exhibition will showcase Italian and international art from 1960 to today.
