Roberto Bolle dances among Caravaggio paintings at Palazzo Barberini

Dancer Roberto Bolle performed among Caravaggio's paintings at Palazzo Barberini in Rome, where the exhibition 'Caravaggio 2025' runs until July 6, 2025. The video shows Bolle's sculptural physique juxtaposed with the artist's nude figures, with lighting recreating Caravaggio's chiaroscuro. Bolle, who turns 50 on March 26, 2025, has two major Caravaggio-related projects. On April 29, 2025, Rai1 will air 'Viva la Danza', a dance gala fusing movement with Caravaggio's art, also featuring performances at Venice's Teatro La Fenice and Verona. Additionally, the ballet 'Caravaggio', choreographed by Mauro Bigonzetti and created in 2008 for Staatsballett Berlin directed by Vladimir Malakhov, will debut in Italy at Teatro Arcimboldi in Milan from May 15 to 21, 2025. The ballet, inspired by Caravaggio's life and works, features Bolle, international soloists, and 30 young dancers.
