Robertaebasta Opens ROBE ROBERTAEBASTA Vintage Gallery Store in Milan

exhibition · 2026-04-26

Robertaebasta, a historic Milanese gallery specializing in 20th-century decorative arts, is launching a new venture called ROBE ROBERTAEBASTA, a gallery store opening on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Via Solferino in Milan. Founded by Roberta Tagliavini in 1967, the gallery has been a reference point for collectors, interior decorators, and design enthusiasts for nearly sixty years. Under the direction of Mattia Martinelli since 1994, the gallery has expanded between Milan and London and participates in major European fairs such as TEFAF in the Netherlands and Masterpiece London. The new project is a market dedicated to vintage and creative reuse, with a strong focus on sustainability, recovery, and upcycling. The space, inspired by the atmospheres of the 1970s and 1980s, brings together over 20 brands from across Italy selected for their ability to reinterpret the past through contemporary languages. Among the brands are sustainable knitwear label Gaia Segattini Knotwear, artisanal accessories by Amlé, handmade costume jewelry by Confetty, upcycled creations by Simon Cracker, custom hats by Wonder Hats, modern art catalogs by Emmebi, Space Age design pieces by Agram Antiques, and a range of items from objects to fashion, natural cosmetics, and books. The goal is to offer a place where past and present dialogue, using vintage as a tool to reflect on consumption, design value, and recovery culture. The project is described as not just a space but an experience.
