Roberta Garibaldi appointed new CEO of Enit, Italy's National Tourism Agency

Roberta Garibaldi has been appointed as the new CEO of Enit – Agenzia Nazionale del Turismo, replacing Giuseppe Albeggiani who was named to the position in June. Garibaldi, a professor of Tourism Management at the University of Bergamo, brings over 20 years of academic and institutional experience in tourism. She was designated by Minister of Tourism Massimo Garavaglia. Garibaldi is involved in research, training, and consultancy for destination development and tourism networks in Italy and globally. She has authored numerous books and scientific articles, and has spoken at major conferences including UNWTO and the World Economic Forum in Davos. She specializes in food and wine tourism, curating the Annual Report on Italian Food and Wine Tourism; the latest edition addressed post-pandemic recovery and sustainable tourism models. Garibaldi expressed pride in the appointment on Facebook, thanking Minister Garavaglia and Enit President Giorgio Palmucci. She emphasized the goal of presenting a unified image of Italy's tourism offerings under the brand 'La Bellezza dell'Italia' (The Beauty of Italy). The appointment comes at a crucial time for relaunching Italian tourism across cultural, enogastronomic, and landscape sectors.
