Robert Longo's First French Museum Retrospective at Mamac Nice
The Musée d'Art moderne et d'Art contemporain (Mamac) in Nice presents the first French museum exhibition dedicated to American artist Robert Longo, running until November 29, 2009. Curated by Gilbert Perlein, Julia Lamboley, and Caroline Smulders, the retrospective will travel to the Musée Collection Berardo in Lisbon from February 1 to April 25, 2010. A catalogue published by Skira/Flammarion includes texts by Werner Spies, Éric Troncy, Caroline Smulders, Gilbert Perlein, and Michèle Brun, with all artist quotes drawn from an interview by Smulders. Longo, born in Brooklyn in 1953, lives and works in New York.
