Robert Leckie Appointed Director of Gasworks in London, Replacing Alessio Antoniolli

Robert Leckie will become the new director of Gasworks in London, starting in March 2024. He moves from Spike Island in Bristol, where he has served as director since 2018. Leckie previously worked at Gasworks from 2011 to 2018 as curator and head of programmes, making this a return to the organization. Gasworks, dedicated to artist residencies and exhibitions, marks its 30th anniversary in 2024, having begun as an artist-run space in 1994. Leckie expressed excitement about rejoining, noting his deep connection to the institution and its community. He succeeds Alessio Antoniolli, who is departing to lead Triangle Network, an international association of over 90 art spaces across 41 countries. Antoniolli aims to enhance Triangle Network's support for partners and foster collaborations. Gasworks is part of the Triangle Network and focuses on enabling artists to create and present work publicly.
