Robert Indiana's LOVE sculpture to be installed at The Huntington

The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens is set to receive Robert Indiana's renowned LOVE sculpture, originally designed in 1966 and created in 1999. This significant polychromed aluminum piece, part of an edition of five with two artist's proofs, will be placed close to the Virginia Steele Scott Galleries of American Art. Terri and Jerry Kohl are donating the sculpture, along with extra funds for its installation and ongoing maintenance. Once installed, it will be the sole publicly available LOVE sculpture in Southern California. This acquisition aligns with the 60th anniversary of the sculpture's first appearance.
