Robert A.M. Stern-Designed Aspen Home Lists for $70 Million

market-auction · 2026-07-27

A Robert A.M. Stern-designed home in Aspen's exclusive Red Mountain enclave, known as 'Billionaire Mountain,' has been listed for $70 million. The roughly 10,600-square-foot residence sits on 3.5 acres and features seven bedrooms, 10 full bathrooms, and two powder rooms. Commissioned by Frederic 'Rick' Bourke, cofounder of Dooney & Bourke, and completed in the early 1990s, the home is one of only three Stern-designed houses in Aspen. The property includes a fireside living room, wet bar, billiards room, formal dining room, eat-in kitchen, morning room, fitness area with hot tub, primary suite with travertine bath, and an attached three-car garage. Bourke and his wife, former ski racer Megan Bourke, are selling due to Bourke's difficulty with Aspen's elevation after a bout of COVID-19. Bourke was convicted in 2009 of conspiracy to violate the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and served a year in prison starting in 2013. The couple plans to spend winters in Hawaii. Emery Holton of Saslove & Warwick of Douglas Elliman holds the listing.
