RO.ME Museum Exhibition Returns to Rome for Second Edition

The second edition of RO.ME – Museum Exhibition will take place from November 27 to 29, 2019, at Fiera di Roma, focusing on key issues in the museum sector exclusively for professionals. The event features over fifty panels and workshops with more than 150 national and international speakers, plus seven special events. Highlights include an opening conference on November 27 with an interview with Minister Dario Franceschini, followed by discussions on museum storytelling and digital use. The UK and Germany share their museum management experiences, with sessions on UK-Italy cultural relations (in collaboration with the British Council) and the German cultural scene (with the German Embassy). New this year is the Traveling Exhibition Meeting & Marketplace, an international event on traveling exhibitions, featuring a speech on the global market and a roundtable with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Tourism, and major players like the China Museums Association Exhibition Exchange, Victoria & Albert Museum, and the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service. Topics covered include audience development, digitalization, education, sustainability, UNESCO heritage, innovation, new professions, corporate museums and archives, brand heritage, merchandising, and retailing.
