RIZLA+ and IED Roma Launch Limited Edition Lighter Collection by Student Lucrezia Lamberti
RIZLA+, the global leader in rolling papers, has partnered with IED Roma (Istituto Europeo di Design) to launch a limited edition lighter collection designed by student Lucrezia Lamberti. The collaboration, part of a Creative Experience initiative, invited IED students to submit designs for RIZLA+ lighters. Lamberti's "RIZLA+ Urban Slang" concept was selected as the winning project, featuring three iconographic series: 'The Musician', 'The Skater', and 'The Surfer'. The lighters will be produced by BIC, a leading lighter manufacturer, and distributed exclusively by Logista Retail in Italian tobacconists starting next winter. Valeria Marcelli, Consumer Marketing Manager at RIZLA+ – Imperial Brands Italia, stated this is the brand's first creative partnership with a design institute, emphasizing the importance of creativity in brand-consumer dialogue. Lamberti, a Graphic Design student, drew inspiration from music, skateboarding, and surfing cultures, using Procreate on iPad for digital illustration. She expressed pride in seeing her work reach the market and noted the project boosted her confidence for future cross-disciplinary collaborations involving illustration, sound, graphics, and dubbing.
