RIVOLUZIONARI3 Exhibition and Inclusivity Talk at Mattatoio, Rome

On July 20, 2023, the Mattatoio in Rome hosted the talk "Arte e Inclusione: visioni, inciampi, orientamenti," the first in the series Questioni by online magazine /culture.future/. The discussion focused on art as a vehicle for representation and inclusivity, featuring curator Ilaria Di Marco, Centro Pecci director Stefano Collicelli Cagol, photographer Lina Pallotta, artist Giulia Crispiani, and Hubove Studio founder Eleonora Rebiscini. They addressed contradictions in the cultural system, including social, labor, and salary equality, minority citizenship, museum rigidity, and paternalistic inclusivity. The talk was part of the public program for the exhibition RIVOLUZIONARI3, celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Circolo di Cultura Omosessuale Mario Mieli. Open until July 30, 2023, at La Pelanda, the exhibition is curated by Ilaria Di Marco, Carlo Battisti, and Davide Lunerti, promoted by Rome's Assessorato alla Cultura and Azienda Speciale Palaexpo. It showcases over 100 documents from the Centro di Documentazione Marco Sanna, tracing LGBTQIA+ activism in Rome from the 1970s, including early groups like FUORI!, Narciso, and CUOR, the HIV-AIDS crisis, the Muccassassina club night, and early Pride marches. An accompanying book is published by Edizioni TLON.
