Rimini's Paradiso nightclub to become art and culture center
The iconic Paradiso nightclub, situated on Covignano hill in Rimini, is set to be converted into a center for art and culture. Acquired at auction in October 2018 for €985,000 by Filo srl, its original vision as a hotel changed on May 30, 2022, redirecting towards hosting exhibitions and events. The extensive renovation, costing millions, will restore the current structure and introduce a green panoramic terrace. The design is spearheaded by Eduard Mijic's architectural firm, in collaboration with Polistudio and Società di ingegneria srl. Gabriele Baschetti from Filo srl envisions a project with zero environmental impact. Approximately 30% of the 300 dance venues in Emilia-Romagna, including Bologna's Kinki and Chalet delle Rose in Pontecchio Marconi, will not reopen.
