Rimini reopens Fellini's childhood cinema on his 98th birthday
On January 20, 2018, the Cinema Fulgor in Rimini, the venue where Federico Fellini experienced his first film 'Maciste all'Inferno,' will reopen in celebration of the director's 98th birthday. Following a six-year renovation, the cinema has been revamped in a style reminiscent of the 1930s, designed by Dante Ferretti. This reopening coincides with the Municipality of Rimini's tender call for the Museo Fellini, which honors the director's legacy and will accept proposals until February 28, 2018. Mayor Andrea Gnassi highlighted significant backing from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage. The museum will be situated near landmarks such as Castel Sismondo and Teatro Galli, with programming by Khairos srl focusing on restored classics and Fellini's influences.
