Rigorosamente libri: artist books exhibition in Foggia

The Fondazione Banca del Monte di Foggia presents 'Rigorosamente libri', an exhibition on artist books curated by Laura Monaldi. The show features works by masters such as Vincenzo Agnetti, Robert Barry, Gianfranco Baruchello, Mirella Bentivoglio, Joseph Beuys, Marcel Duchamp, John Cage, Enrico Castellani, Allan Kaprow, Emilio Isgrò, and Arrigo Lora-Totino. Spanning several decades of the 20th century, the exhibition explores a genre that still requires deeper study in Italy. The collection includes limited editions with signed and numbered multiples, as well as books aimed at a broader audience, all conceived by known and lesser-known artists who understood the potential of this sophisticated medium. The foundation, chaired by Saverio Russo, continues its mission of mapping contemporary art history. The exhibition runs until June 11, 2016, at the Fondazione Banca del Monte, Via Arpi 152, Foggia.
