Rigenera Festival Brings AI and Urban Regeneration from Reggio Emilia to Detroit
The 2025 Rigenera – PIANO B, an initiative by the Fondazione degli Architetti di Reggio Emilia, featured an international workshop focused on revitalizing the Reggiane site, which is now an Innovation Park. Over four days, students from the University of Ferrara and Lawrence Technological University engaged in a workshop centered on urban regeneration through AI. The findings were shared at Rigenera – PIANO B and later published in the Ordine degli Architetti P.P.C. di Reggio Emilia journal, which is scheduled to be showcased in the US in September 2025. During the Detroit Month of Design, there will be a seminar and exhibition highlighting the results and the Premio Rigenera finalists, with Bricolo Falsarella Associati winning first place, followed by Arrigoni Architetti and Geza. The festival will also include participation from Kharkiv, Beirut, Maputo, Brussels, and Tripoli in 2025.
