Richemont's Alaïa and Chloé Shine at Paris Fashion Week
At Paris Fashion Week's autumn-winter 2025-26 shows, two brands from the Richemont Group—Alaïa and Chloé—stood out. Richemont, the second most powerful luxury group after LVMH, outperformed Kering in 2024 revenue. Its strategy preserves each brand's artisanal identity, exemplified by Fondation Cartier pour l'art contemporain. Chloé, founded in 1952 by Egyptian designer Gaby Aghion, presented accessible prêt-à-porter with high craftsmanship, under current artistic director Chemena Kamali (since 2023). Alaïa, acquired in 2007, showed on March 6 in Paris, with artistic director Pieter Mulier (since 2021) presenting sculptural silhouettes in innovative materials like elasticized fabrics and structured wool. The show featured fragmented sculptures by Dutch artist Mark Manders. Richemont's jewelry sales grew in South Korea, the Middle East, and Europe, compensating for declines in China, Hong Kong, and Macau.
