Richard Yasmine's 'Vessels of the Intangible' at Milan Design Week 2026

architecture-design · 2026-04-24

Designer Richard Yasmine presents 'Vessels of the Intangible,' a lighting collection that blurs object design, installation, and scenography. The project abstracts the five senses—sight, sound, smell, touch, taste—into sculptural light forms, each starting from a sensory organ (eye, ear, nose, lips, finger) but not replicating anatomy. Materials include metal, leather, foam, wood, inlay, embroidery, blown glass, rattan, and enamel. Light emerges from within the forms, emphasizing volume and surface. The collection draws on neo-baroque sensibilities in a restrained, psychological register. It is shown at 5VIE Milano, Via Cesare Correnti 14, during Milan Design Week 2026. Photographs by BIZARREBEIRUT.
