Richard Parry Named Director of Glasgow International Biennial
Richard Parry has been appointed director of Glasgow International, taking over from Sarah McCrory. He will begin his position in May 2017. Parry previously served as curator-director at the Grundy Art Gallery in Blackpool since 2013, where he oversaw more than 25 exhibitions. His background includes a role as assistant curator at London's Hayward Gallery. McCrory, who organized the 2014 and 2016 editions, is moving to become director of the contemporary art gallery at Goldsmiths in London. The next edition of Glasgow International is set for April 20 to May 7, 2018.
