Richard Hamilton's 'TV Sculpture' Screened at Central Saint Martins

exhibition · 2026-04-22

In March 2015, Central Saint Martins hosted a screening of Richard Hamilton's 'TV Sculpture', originally broadcast on Channel 4 in 1997. Hamilton re-edited a film he made forty years earlier, adding color and a soundtrack, based on footage of 'an Exhibit', a 1957 collaboration with Victor Pasmore and Lawrence Alloway. The event was part of the Strangelove moving image festival and an Afterall Exhibition Histories event, free for UAL staff and students. Equipment was provided by The Block.
