Riccardo Ricca's Fire and Memory Installation at Sebino

exhibition · 2026-05-06

Riccardo Ricca has created an installation for IN/FORM, a project transforming Sebino's industrial spaces into a dialogue between art and industry. The work explores fire as both a technical element and an archetypal presence, referencing Prometheus. The installation unfolds in three phases within the industrial nave: 'La Soglia' features bitumen-treated fabric and charred floral sculptures; 'Prometeo' incorporates sprinkler-based organic elements; and 'La Scala' centers on an unreachable white resin flower atop a 'cemetery ladder.' Additionally, 'Desierto Florido' is a triangular concrete structure with resin, wire, and bitumen flowers, some derived from sprinkler molds, creating a landscape between ruin and rebirth.
