Riccardo Masini's 'Memorie di Tannino' at Tenute Rubino

Riccardo Masini, an Italian artist born in 1984, unveils 'Memorie di Tannino,' an immersive installation at the Tenute Rubino winery in Brindisi, Italy. This exhibition is part of the 'Alchimie' project curated by Ilaria Caravaglio and initiated by Romina Leopardi. The installation, which opened on April 24, will be on display until June 5, 2026. Visitors are encouraged to contemplate the slow process of wine maturation, with wooden pawns of various dimensions scattered throughout the barrel room, serving as an organic archive. The barrels and flooring create a fragmented chessboard effect. Masini's artistic journey includes apprenticeships with Giacomo Malaspina, Claude Arragon, and Roberto Mannino. The title reflects the concept of tannin as a metaphor for memory, paralleling the sedimentation of wine and human experiences.
