RIBA Stirling Prize shortlist features six British architectural projects

The RIBA Stirling Prize, which celebrates British architecture, has announced its six shortlisted projects. Among these is MUMA's extension to the historic Whitworth gallery in Manchester. Competing entries include Burntwood School, crafted by Allford Hall Monaghan Morris in Wandsworth, and Darbishire Place, a thirteen-unit social housing development in east London by Niall McLaughlin Architects. Also on the list is a care facility for the Maggie's cancer charity in Lanarkshire, designed by Reiach and Hall Architects. Additionally, the luxury apartment complex Neo Bankside, adjacent to Tate Modern, is from Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners. Lastly, the University of Greenwich's Stockwell Street Building, created by heneghan peng architects, houses various university departments within a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The winning project will receive a £20,000 prize.
