RHS Botanical Art & Photography Show Returns to Saatchi Gallery for 2026
The Saatchi Gallery in London will host the RHS Botanical Art and Photography Show for its sixth installment from 19 June to 2 August 2026. This exhibition showcases modern botanical art and photography from global exhibitors, featuring both returning medalists and newcomers. The diverse subjects include post-wildfire plants from northwest England, mushrooms in Japan, fungi from Cornwall, Jeju Island's wildflowers, and endangered fynbos in South Africa's Grootbos. The photography segment highlights portfolios that delve into plants, gardens, and natural landscapes. According to Charlotte Brooks, RHS Art Curator, artists are increasingly focusing on plant ecology within gardens and protected areas. An expert panel evaluates all submissions for aesthetic quality, scientific precision, and technical proficiency. Competing artists vie for RHS medals (Gold, Silver-Gilt, Bronze) along with various awards, including Best Botanical Artwork and the People's Choice award, determined through voting on the RHS website. The event upholds the RHS's tradition of botanical art collection, enhancing the RHS Lindley Collections, which boasts over 30,000 botanical paintings and heritage photographs. Tickets start at £6, while RHS and Saatchi Gallery members can enter for free. Winners will be revealed on 18 June.
