RGB Experience Returns to Rome for Second Edition of Light Art Festival

The second edition of RGB Experience – Roma Glocal Brightness, a light art festival, will take place in Rome from October 27 to 29, 2017. The event transforms the area between Pigneto and Torpignattara into an open-air museum with 19 site-specific installations, including interactive light works and video mapping. Founded in 2015 by Luciombre, the festival combines art, social engagement, and urban regeneration. Artistic director Diego Labonia describes the theme as a "lucid dream," inviting artists and the public to explore a dreamlike dimension. Highlights include Building's soul by VJ Alis (Alice Felloni), Iconografono by Tommaso Rinaldi (High files), Distorsione by La mia paura è bianca (Eleonora Avino and Martina Frattura), Lo soffia il cielo by S+C studio (Federico Ciani and Alessia Scatena), System by Elisa Mancini, and Ether'ò by Simone Palma and Diego Labonia with music by Matteo Colasanti. Social initiatives include a shadow theater workshop for migrant women by Asinitas Onlus and workshops on digital light culture led by experts such as Gisella Gellini, Annamaria Monteverdi, Pietro Sperduti, Francesco Iezzi, Simone Palma, Maria Saggese, and Children of Darklight.
