Rexhep Rexhepi Unveils RRCHF Flyback Chronograph, His First New Model in Three Years

Independent watchmaker Rexhep Rexhepi introduced the RRCHF, a flyback chronograph, just before Watches and Wonders in Geneva. The watch, his first new model in nearly three years, received over 1,700 requests despite his atelier producing only 60 watches annually. Available in platinum with a stormy blue enamel dial or rose gold with black enamel, it retails for 150,000 Swiss francs (about $193,000). The 38.8 mm diameter, 9.7 mm thick piece is entirely in-house, including the movement and enamel dial from his workshop opened in May 2024. It features a new dial signature 'Hgers À Geneve' borrowed from an old Leroy pocket watch. The movement has 320 components, making it one of his most complex. Rexhepi emphasized proportion and symmetry, with a central flyback chronograph seconds hand and subdials at 4 and 7 o'clock. He noted his evolution from minimizing components to using as many as needed for quality. A collector from Saudi Arabia quipped about delivery as the next step.
