Review Panel to Analyze 2012 Whitney Biennial, Armory Week Highlights Include Emerging Artists
On March 30th, moderator David Cohen will lead The Review Panel discussion with Bill Berkson, Will Heinrich, and Karen Wilkin at the National Academy Museum and School of Art in New York City. This session will examine the 2012 Whitney Biennial at 6:30 PM. During Armory Week, several notable exhibitions were documented by artcritical correspondents. At Volta, Wilmer Wilson IV, a Howard University senior, performed a self-mummification with gold stickers at Conner Contemporary Art of Washington DC. Rob Pruitt's silver-tape covered chairs titled The Congregation (2010-12) were displayed at Gavin Brown's Enterprise in Chelsea. Dan Miller's works at Creative Growth Art Center featured pen, paint, and typewritten words on paper.
