Review Panel at Brooklyn Public Library Discusses Chelsea Exhibitions Including Rashid Johnson and A.L. Steiner

The Review Panel convened at Brooklyn Public Library on September 19, 2016, to discuss contemporary art exhibitions. Three of the four shows examined were located within a single block in Chelsea: Rashid Johnson's exhibition at Hauser & Wirth, Eve Aschheim's presentation at Lori Bookstein Fine Art, and A.L. Steiner's installation at Koenig & Clinton. Steiner's work featured daily text readings by the artist and the addition of a new photograph each day to the evolving installation. Notably, Steiner required Koenig & Clinton to close its doors daily at 4pm during her exhibition, a decision framed as addressing global warming and exploitation.
