Reverie's 'Sogno 3: La camera degli specchi' at Triennale Milano

On June 13, 2021, artist Reverie (born 1994 in Vinci) presented the performance 'Sogno 3: La camera degli specchi' at the Triennale Milano's Teatro dell'Arte as part of the FOG festival. This is the third installment in a dream-themed cycle that began in 2019 with 'Sogno 1: L’archetipo del sé' at Fondazione VOLUME! in Rome, followed by 'Sogno 2: The Sleeping Muse' (2020) at Palazzina Liberty in Milan. In this performance, the artist guided audience members one by one through an intimate mirrored space, using only her voice while her body remained hidden. The work evolved from an earlier concept involving a labyrinth of mirrors and the artist's visible but disguised body, modified due to the pandemic to focus on solitude and self-confrontation. Reverie describes her voice as foundational—first as a reassuring guide, then a liberating cry, and now as a constant shadow. The performance is part of a broader practice where audience experiences are collected via letters and synthesized into final artworks. Future projects include 'Alba Lunare' at Montelupo's Festa Internazionale della Ceramica on July 16, a 'poetic flight' over Naples in autumn, and an artist album containing ten musical dream tracks created with seven composers. Reverie continues producing ceramic 'dream objects' and experimenting with new materials like fabric, glass, wax, metal, and nails.
