Retired Couple's Holiday Villa in Karuizawa by nao architects office and Studio Hashimura
A holiday villa in Karuizawa, Nagano Prefecture, designed by nao architects office and Studio Hashimura for a retired couple, has been completed in 2025. The rectangular volume measures 18.6 meters in width and 6.8 meters in depth, situated on a broad 990 m² site. The project was led by architects Nao Uchida and Yuichi Hashimura, with structural engineering by Kenichi Inoue, M&E by MACHITEC and Maki Shimizu, construction by Maruyama Komuten, landscape design by Kosuke Katano and Yosuke Nishio, and design team member Yuta Tosaya.
