Residenze Insensate: New Artist Residency in Milan's Chinatown

Residenze Insensate, a new artist residency program, launches in Milan's Chinatown, organized by Fondazione Arthur Cravan and curated by Cose Cosmiche, a platform by Helga Franza and Silvia Hell. The residency subverts traditional models by offering only 25 square meters of space for 3 to 10 days, encouraging projects deemed 'senseless' or unconventional. Artists, curators, researchers, and cultural professionals are invited to realize abandoned or unfeasible ideas. The program runs in two periods (March–June and September–November) and is open to all ages. Applications are due by August 10. The foundation, inspired by Dadaist performer Arthur Cravan (1887–1918), supports non-conventional projects. Chinatown, a multi-ethnic district previously lacking cultural initiatives, is emerging as a creative hub.
