Residenze#1: Flavio Favelli and Gianni Politi at AlbumArte in Rome

AlbumArte in Rome presents Residenze#1, an exhibition featuring works by Gianni Politi and Flavio Favelli, created during residencies in Istanbul and Prague in 2014. Politi, born in Rome in 1986, often explores family memory, having lost his father early; his Prague residency led to three-dimensional monochromes. Favelli, born in Florence in 1967, is obsessed with his past, using objects like his grandmother's furniture; his Istanbul residency shifted his focus to Turkish symbols like banknotes. The exhibition runs until November 26, 2016, curated by Paola Ugolini. AlbumArte plans further residency meetings in December 2016 and November 2017.
