Reshaping the Field: Arts of the African Diasporas on Display Book Launch
Iniva is launching the thirteenth title in the Exhibition Histories series, Reshaping the Field: Arts of the African Diasporas on Display, at the Stuart Hall Library on Thursday 15 June from 5.30-7.30pm. The publication, edited by Nana Adusei-Poku, examines key exhibitions that have reframed Blackness and African diasporic art histories. The launch will feature introductions by Adusei-Poku and the artist collective Languid Hands, comprising Rabz Lansiquot and Imani Mason Jordan. Adusei-Poku is an Assistant Professor at Yale University, previously at UC Berkeley and Bard College. Languid Hands is a London-based collaboration exploring Black and queer studies.
