Renzo Piano's 80th Birthday Celebrated with Exhibition in Tuscan Winery
The Rocca di Frassinello winery in Gavorrano, Grosseto, hosted an event named 'Mastering Architecture' to honor Renzo Piano's 80th birthday, the 40th anniversary of the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the winery's 10th anniversary, which Piano designed and opened in June 2007. Italo Rota was commissioned by Paolo Panerai to curate a photographic exhibition featuring 24 pieces, displayed in the winery's atrium, which will be available until December 2017. Additionally, a video presentation showcases Piano's insights on both the Centre Pompidou competition and the winery project. A comprehensive retrospective of Piano's career is set to take place at the Royal Academy of Arts in London from September 15, 2018, to January 20, 2019.
