Renzo Marasca's Site-Specific Installation at TOMAV Tower
Italian artist Renzo Marasca (born 1977 in Jesi, lives in Lisbon) has created a site-specific project for the TOMAV, a public exhibition space housed in a medieval heptagonal tower in Moresco, Marche, Italy. The installation spans four floors: small, heavily textured paintings on the lower level provide a physical and conceptual base; a metal installation on intermediate floors reimagines the tower's spaces; and large surfaces assembled from treated tissue paper, painted with a personal technique using wax for surprising effects, occupy the upper levels. The work explores intersecting longitudes and a present in flux between concern and hope. TOMAV continues its independent programming following previous exhibitions by Luca Piovaccari and Maurizio Cesarini, reinforcing its role as a research hub in the region.
