Renovated Apartments in Ossau Valley by Mesnil Architectures

architecture-design · 2026-04-30

Mesnil Architectures has completed the renovation of a 150 m² building in Laruns, at the end of the Ossau Valley near the Pyrenees Mountains. The project, curated by Hadir Al Koshta, transformed two stacked apartments that were originally indistinguishable from surrounding houses. The building's architectural integrity was preserved beneath layers of wall finishings and suspended ceilings. The renovation was completed in 2025. Collaborators include Guicheteau Ossature (structures), SP Maçonnerie (masonry), Nicolas Iladoy (carpentry), Maçonnerie Queffelec (finishing works), and David Gabard Ferronnerie (metalwork). Photographs were provided by Mesnil Studio.
