Render Newsletter Previews Urban Regeneration Projects by Barreca & La Varra

The upcoming issue of Render, Artribune's biweekly newsletter on urban regeneration, features an interview with architects Gianandrea Barreca and Giovanni La Varra, founders of Milan-based studio Barreca & La Varra (2008). They discuss recent projects including the Cittadella dello sport in Tortona (Alessandria province) and the Nuovo Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico di Milano, expected completion by 2025, plus ongoing social housing interventions in Lombardy. The issue also spotlights 'A dimora,' an artistic residency project held each summer since 2023 in the village of Londa, Montagna Fiorentina, focusing on culture-based urban regeneration in Italy's inner areas.
