Render newsletter explores urban regeneration through Mies van der Rohe Awards and Piuarch's 30th anniversary
On April 27, 2026, the 56th issue of Artribune's Render newsletter explores urban and cultural renewal through architecture. It highlights the 2026 European Union Prize for Contemporary Architecture/Mies van der Rohe Awards, praising Belgium and Slovenia for their creative reuse of spaces. AgwA and Jan de Vylder Inge Vinck transformed a 1950s congress center in Charleroi, while Vidic Grohar Arhitekti revamped a 1960s industrial site in Ljubljana for the Slovenian National Theatre. The issue also features an interview with Piuarch founders Francesco Fresa and Miguel Pallares, marking their 30th anniversary during Milan Design Week. Additionally, it discusses the WIP – Work in POLISS project, coordinated by Nasrin Mohiti Asli. Render, managed by Carolina Chiatto and Valentina Silvestrini, has been a free biweekly newsletter since 2024.
