Renata Sbrighi: Accordionist and Music Educator in São Paulo's Lapa Neighborhood

Renata Naccarato Sbrighi Oggiam, known as Renata Sbrighi, is an accordionist and music educator based in the Lapa neighborhood of São Paulo. Her family history is marked by Italian immigration; her grandparents were among the first to settle in Lapa, where her grandfather established the area's first gas station and pizzeria. Influenced by her mother, an accordionist, she began piano lessons at age six. She founded the Conservatório Musical da Lapa, which operated until 1986 and later transformed into the Escola Livre de Música, now located in her home. There, she teaches piano, accordion, and keyboard to students of all ages. She also maintains the Orquestra Sanfônica de São Paulo. Two years ago, she got her first tattoos: a treble clef and a bass clef, reflecting her deep connection to music. Her athletic background includes playing for the Seleção Paulista de Vôlei, a passion inherited from her father, a former footballer for Palestra Itália.
