Remedello Archaeological Museum Goes Multimedia
In 2021, the municipality of Remedello, a small town in the Brescia area, commissioned architect Giorgio Palù to redesign the museographic layout of the Museo Civico Archeologico di Remedello, housed in the former church of the Disciplini. The museum holds over two thousand artifacts from the lower Chiese area dating to the Copper Age. The renovation aimed to make the museum more welcoming and less didactic. Multimedia stations now transform the visitor experience, with custom-made furnishings and information panels improving accessibility. In the large exhibition hall, decorated with 16th-century frescoes, seating has been added for rest, and displays are at a height suitable for children. A multisensory path guides visitors to the most emblematic artifacts, featuring an interactive surface that shows three-dimensional reproductions. An interactive audio system aids visitors with potential disabilities, and all lighting uses LEDs to reduce energy consumption.
