Rembrandt show at Galleria Corsini extends for three final days before closure

exhibition · 2026-04-27

The Galleria Corsini in Rome has extended the run of its Rembrandt exhibition, 'L’autoritratto come San Paolo', curated by Alessandro Cosma, for three additional days: Monday 28, Tuesday 29, and Wednesday 30 September 2020. The show centers on the Dutch master's self-portrait as Saint Paul, originally from the collection of Cardinal Neri Maria Corsini, returning to Italy for the first time since 1799. The painting is normally housed at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. The extension responds to strong visitor numbers. From 1 October, the Galleria Corsini will close for several months due to essential maintenance and system upgrades. A series of documents and engravings in the exhibition trace the work's collecting history.
