Rembrandt's graphic works on view at the Vatican Museums
The Vatican Museums are hosting an exhibition of Rembrandt's graphic works, featuring 169 of his 310 surviving prints from the collection of Anders Zorn, a Swedish painter and printmaker who obsessively collected the Dutch master's works. The show includes etchings and drypoints, mainly portraits and biblical subjects, from the Zorn Museum in Mora, Sweden, and the Dutch Kremer Collection, which lent the only painting on display, 'Bust of an Old Man with a Turban' (ca. 1627). Three works by Zorn, including 'Self-Portrait with Wolf Fur', reveal his debt to Rembrandt's self-portraits.
