Reina Sofía opens Aurèlia Muñoz retrospective with curatorial talk

On April 28, 2026, the Museo Reina Sofía in Madrid will host an inaugural talk for the exhibition "Aurèlia Muñoz. Entes" at Auditorio 400, Edificio Nouvel, from 19:00h. The conversation features curator Manuel Cirauqui, Rosa Lleó, and Sílvia Ventosa, who will discuss the artist's legacy and the exhibition's curatorial approach. The retrospective, organized by the Reina Sofía and the Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (MACBA), runs from April 29 to September 7, 2026, on floor 0 of the Nouvel Building. It covers over fifty years of Muñoz's practice, from monumental textile structures to handmade paper sculptures, and highlights her experimental use of techniques and materials. The talk is free, with capacity for 400 people, and is part of the museum's Public Programs. Muñoz (Barcelona, 1926–2011) is a key figure in contemporary textile art.
