Refreshink: 30 Years of Street Art and the Rainbow Water Tower Project
Born in 1971 in Arona (Novara), Italian street artist Refreshink, also known as Giovanni Magnoli, contemplates his thirty years in graffiti and muralism. He began his artistic journey in the early 1990s, developing a distinctive layered technique that combines spray paint with mixed media. In 2000, he turned his attention to abandoned locations, creating his first rooster artwork in 2009. Refreshink's exhibitions commenced in 2004, with notable shows like Progetto Rainbow in Pisa (2019) and the One Urban World Festival in Cartagena (2017). He served as a technical consultant for the Rainbow project, curated by Martina Coletti and Cristina Trivellin, which involved painting water towers. He aims to promote awareness of environmental issues through public art and plans to create more murals focused on nature.
