Reem Shadid to Lead Beirut Art Center Amid Institutional Crisis

Reem Shadid has been appointed as the new director of the Beirut Art Center, effective 2024. She succeeds Haig Aivazian and Rana Nasser Eddin, who are departing after a two-year tenure marked by challenges linked to Lebanon's financial crisis. The outgoing directors highlighted difficulties in securing sustainable funding while striving for ethical practices.
