Red Scaffolding Wraps Salvaged-Material Pavilion in Hyderabad
The Reclaimed Pavilion, a temporary event venue located in Hyderabad, India, has been finalized by Kanan Modi Associates, showcasing red scaffolding made from repurposed materials. Commissioned by Jayabheri Group, this 1,500-square-metre space features areas for work and events, as well as a show home for The Pinnacle. The design incorporates salvaged elements such as gabion walls built from construction debris, bricks from excavated earth, and reclaimed metal sheets. Jute fabric canopies are supported by the red scaffolding. Founder Kana Modi highlighted the importance of utilizing existing materials. The pavilion offers adaptable gathering spaces, a sunken reception, and large gabion walls for shade, hosting art exhibitions, talks, performances, and community events.
