Red Bull Dance Your Style Turns Montpellier into Street Dance Capital

From September 23 to 26, Red Bull Dance Your Style will transform Montpellier, France, into the epicenter of street dance, featuring battles, performances, and workshops across the city's iconic venues. The international competition, where the audience serves as the sole judge, will culminate in the French national final on Saturday, September 26 at the Opéra de Montpellier. The winner, chosen by the public, will represent France at the international final in Zurich on October 24. The event will include a qualification phase allowing two dancers to join the 14 pre-qualified finalists. Over four days, Montpellier will host free workshops, street shows, and artist meet-and-greets, celebrating the diversity of street dance styles including hip-hop, house, waacking, popping, and locking. The schedule includes workshops and activations on September 23, pre-selection on September 24, qualifications and a hip-hop evening on September 25, and the national final on September 26. The competition emphasizes freestyle improvisation, with dancers discovering music in real-time and creating connections with the crowd. This event underscores the growing prominence of street dance in France and its global reach, with the Zurich final serving as the pinnacle of the competition.
