Réclame! Exhibition Traces Italian Advertising Art History in Milan

exhibition · 2026-05-04

From September 19 to October 26, 2019, Milan's Other Size Gallery showcases 'Réclame! Una passione, una collezione,' an exhibition that delves into the relationship between fine art and advertising in Italy. The collection includes original lithographs, sketches, and vintage photographs sourced from Federico Guidoni's private archive. Notable pieces consist of eight large, vibrantly colored lithographs promoting renowned Italian brands such as Campari and Cinzano, crafted by artists like Achille Beltrame and Leonetto Cappiello between the 1910s and 1950s. Additionally, twelve mixed-media sketches by Franz Marangolo for Campari from the 1950s-1960s highlight the vintage advertising design process. The exhibition, located at Workness, Via Andrea Maffei, 1, also features black-and-white photographs celebrating Milan's influential designers.
