Rebecca Rabinow Appointed Director of The Menil Collection in Houston
Rebecca Rabinow will become the new director of The Menil Collection in Houston, Texas, starting July 2016. She succeeds Josef Helfenstein in leading the institution. Currently serving as the Leonard A. Lauder curator of modern art at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art, Rabinow has held her position there since 1990. Her recent curatorial projects include the internationally touring exhibition 'The Steins Collect: Matisse, Picasso, and the Parisian Avant-Garde' in 2012. She also organized 'Matisse, In Search of True Painting' from 2012 to 2013 and 'Cubism: The Leonard A. Lauder Collection' between 2014 and 2015.
