Re-Genesis: Seven-Exhibition Cycle by Movimento Arte Etica at ARTantide Gallery Verona

The Movimento Arte Etica, founded on the principle of art's social responsibility, presents Re-Genesis, a cycle of seven exhibitions inspired by the Biblical Genesis. Curated by Sandro Orlandi Stagl, the series runs from April 23, 2021 to February 25, 2022 at ARTantide Gallery in Verona. Fourteen artists participate, paired by analogy or contrast, reflecting the creation narrative's dualities (light/dark, heaven/earth, etc.). The exhibition sequence follows the temporal order of God's creation as described in the Bible. Works span painting, installation, photography, sculpture, drawing, video, and performance, all centered on the theme of rebirth—collective, social, and human. The opening exhibition, Oltre le Tenebre, features Julia Bornefeld and Marco Gradi (through May 28). Subsequent pairings include Matteo Mezzadri and Jorge R. Pombo (June 4–July 9), Luigi Dellatorre and Alessandro Zannier (July 16–September 3), Marica Moro and Caterina Notte (September 10–October 8), Carlo Bonfà and Alberto Salvetti (October 15–November 12), Marco Bertìn and Carlo Pasini (November 19–January 7), and Gianfranco Gentile and Franco Mazzucchelli (January 14–February 25). Orlandi Stagl emphasizes regeneration in moral, biological, technological, sustainability, physical/thermodynamic, and educational senses.
